Wordpress Upgrade
I just finished upgrading one of my sites from an older version of WordPress to the newest version. I was approaching the task with some trepidation, particularly after I read the directions at WordPress about doing the upgrade.
Just by chance I came across the Automatic Update plugin in a list of top plugins and decided to give it a try. After activating the plugin and clicking to upgrade my installation it automatically backed up my site and the relevant databases, downloaded the new 2.7.1 version of WordPress, did all of the necessary deactivations and activations - all in under 5 minutes and basically idiot proof. The site is back up and running thanks to the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Many thanks to Keith D’Souza for putting this together.
This plugin goes on the "must have" list.
